The current version of The Jon Storey Band  was formed in Spain in June 2014 quickly gaining a good reputation as an exciting, powerful Blues-Rock trio. They have played concerts and festivals in Spain, Portugal, England and Wales before winning a ‘Battle of the Bands’ contest in Spain after appearing at the two day (fri, sat) 2015 SUBEROCK Festival in San Vincente de Alcantara Spain on Saturday 4th July on the main stage with The Milkyway Express and The Electric Alley. This year they were chosen to open the 3 day 'Cazorla International Blues Festival' in Cazorla Jaen Spain on 8/7/2016 headlined by Popa Chubby.

Since  the release of the single ‘Dirty Trix’ the band have had several radio interviews and a live TV appearance on Canal Extremadura Spain as well as numerous plays on radio stations in Europe to promote the album and single. The concerts/festivals continue and a tour of Spain and Portugal in the Winter/Spring of 2018 has been arranged with dates in the UK  also.

Jon is also continuing with his session work and is currently working with Spanish Celtic Folk Rock band 'Hey Folks' who have two albums released on Fish Factory Records Madrid, Hey Folks and Destination North. The band headlined a three day International Folk Festival in Plasencia Spain and are currently out promoting the albums with live shows and on the radio and tv in Spain.

After doing a summer of concerts/festivals with the UK Folk/Rock band  ‘The Loosehounds’  Jon recorded guitars on their 2014 album  ‘Privilege of Pleasure’  produced by Ron Rogers (T’Pau) and mastered by KK Downing (Judas Priest) who said ''There's some great guitar on this album'' co-writing several tracks with the band.  The album was well received by the media and has had worldwide radio play.

An album called ‘Paradise At A Price’ by White Lightning was re-released by Angel Records in 2011.  An album Jon co-wrote and played all guitars on. The Blues/Rock band from London were with Workshop Records at that time of the first release and had played for a few years in and around the ‘London scene’.  The band played some prestigious venues The Mean Fidler, The Marquee etc before being asked to support Meat Loaf on the Uk leg of a European tour.  In 2014 the band reformed for a one off gig at The Clonakilty International Guitar Festival and played a storming set to close the event.  The live performance was recorded and was released on Bluestone Recordings in 2016.

The Storey / Henrit Big Blues Experience featuring Argent and Kinks drummer Robert 'Bob' Henrit was a natural extention of The Jon Storey Band with keyboards, horn section, two backing singers and a guest singer. The band performed blues classics.

The Dolmen are a well established Folk/Rock touring band with many albums released. Jon worked with them for nearly two years playing guitar and co-writing the album  ‘Undefeated’.

‘Open All Hours’ is an instrumental album that Jon used to sell at concerts only. It featured two tracks with The Jon Storey Band rhythm section and a further nine tracks with various musicians.  ‘Getting There Fast’ (an SRV type instrumental) is sometimes played in the live set with the current Jon Storey Band.

Jon worked as a session musician in London studios, Magmasters, Swan Music, Warner Chapel Publishing and Jumbo Studios on a variety of music for bands, adverts and films. On one such film called ‘Canvas’ starring Gary Busey, Jon provided all the guitars for the soundtrack and was given a big mention as ‘Featured Guitarist’ in the closing credits. It was during an album session in Jumbo Studios Dollis Hill London that he was introduced to (Ray Dorset) Mungo Jerry who on hearing Jon play instantly asked him to join his touring band.  He played with Mungo Jerry over a period of two years including TV in Europe, radio performances and live etc.

Jon was a featured guitarist on the Radio One Tommy Vance Rock Show after he won the pretigious Radio One Rock Wars.

This lead to a recording session with Hammerhead a German rock band signed to Warners with producer Kit Woolvern (Thin Lizzy)

and work with producer Martin Birch (Deep Purple, Iron Maiden etc).
