Aquí tenemos a una banda que tiene su base en Extremadura con un rock-blues duro y sin fisuras y aportaciones de otros géneros que ayudan a componer una música variada y digerible. De hecho ellos son el prototipo de grupo paradigmático y ecléctico de la actual escena española con una serie de matices que posiblemente no tenga parangón con ningún otro grupo de su especie. The Jon Storey Band representa una de las múltiples variantes de esos grupos que van mas allá de lo musicalmente correcto, en un cruce de sonoridades que, aunque evolucionadas en su forma, se aferran a una sencillez creativa en su fondo, lo que da como resultado un trabajo bastante agradable de escuchar. Dicen que sus influencias musicales son variadas y no exentas de personalidad, pues sus componentes escuchan tanto a George Gershwin como a Thin Lizzy, Jimmi Hendrix, Steve Ray Vaughan, Peter Green, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher o Gary Moore. El trío lo forman Jon Storey guitarra y voz, Miguel Ángel España García, batería y Darío Agudo bajo. Si te gustan los grupos de rock blues con influencias cien por cien británicas, entonces estos son tus chicos. MUY BUENO. Here comes a band based in Extremadura which practices a strong hard rock-blues with contributions of other styles that help to create a varied and easy to assimilate music. In fact they are the image of a paradigmatic eclectic group of the actual Spanish scene with a number of nuances that possibly cannot be found in other similar groups. The Jon Storey Band represents one of the wide variants of these bands that go beyond what is musically correct, to walk on a crossroads of sounds that, although evolved in the layout, stick to a creative simplicity in the content, which gives as a result a quite pleasant music. They say their musical influences are varied and very personal ones, as all them listen and love so different musicians like George Gershwin, Thin Lizzy, Jimmi Hendrix, Steve Ray Vaughan, Peter Green, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher or Gary Moore. The trio includes Jon Storey on guitar and vocals, Miguel Angel España García on drums and Dario Agudo on bass. If you like rock blues groups with one hundred per cent British influences, then these are your guys. VERY GOOD.
